Day 9-13: My Sister Visits Azarie

Day 9 (12.19.12)
My sister and her husband  from Australia arrived in Georgia on the night of December 18. We met them at the hotel and brought Azarie with us. Then the next day, we took them out for lunch at the Crab Shack for some seafood.

After lunch we helped them transfer to a  nicer hotel.

Day 10 (12.20.12)

Day 12 (12.22.12)
On this day, we went to watch Jack Reacher at the cinema. It is a first time for Azarie and she slept all throughout the movie. She was a very good little moviegoer. She cried maybe a couple of times but went back to sleep right away. :) Too bad I forgot to take pictures!

Day 13 (12.23.12)
Today my sister and her hubby went back to Australia. We brought them to the airport and then I went to mass to thank God for a great week with my family. Azarie is having her first taste of adventure this week. I love you so much, my Azarie :)

Azarie's First Week

Day 1:
Azarie is born 12.10.12 at 2:15. She was 7.2 lbs and 20.5 inches. She was delivered NSVD, however with epidural and pitocin given. My OBGYN is Dr. Carmela Pettigrew, assisted by Nurse Brenda, and anaesthesiologist, Dr. Hameed.
I was starting to feel pain at around 8:30 pm on Saturday, which brought me to the emergency room. The nurse told me I was only 1 cm dilated so they sent us home. But the following day, I was still in more pain and I could not pass urine depsite having the urge. So we went to the hospital again and this time the nurse told me I was already 4.5-5 cm dilated. They admitted me and Dr. Pettigrew was informed.
All I could say was that the pain was bad. Counting the duration of my contractions was what basically made me go through everything. I also prayed a lot and had my rosary wrapped around my arm. I knew God was with me all the time. I was also asking for Mother Mary's help during the whole process.
Anyway, here is a pic of our Azarie the day she was born. She is beautiful and perfect!

Baby is out in the oven :)

Day 2:
On the second day, Azarie gets to go home. Yeyy!

so cute in her car seat

Day 3:
Azarie had her first pedia visit with Dr. Morrison. Sadly, baby Zari was jaundiced and had to be put in a Bili light machine.

Dr. Morrison was more like a grandpa :)

she kept crying when we put her in the machine :(

Day 4:
We had another visit to the pedia and unfortunately, she was still jaundiced and was getting dehydrated so she had to be admitted to the hospital.
